Vineyards: planted at 300 m asl on sandstone and clay facing west and south-west
Winemaking: grapes are hand picked and selected; alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at temperatures kept below 28 °C. Maceration lasts for about 12 days with pumping overs and pigeages. Malolactic starts in tank and finishes in barrels.
Ageing: 8 months in barrels and steel tanks, 6 months in bottle
Total Production: 30000 bottles
Commentary: if you are looking for a blockbuster fruity Sangiovese, this is not your wine. Rather, it shows earthy and leathery aromas intermixed with wild red berries and underwood; On the palate is fresh, luscious and soft. A lovely Morellino.
