After a degree in Physics and 7 years experience as quality control engineer in a big semiconductor company, Fabio decided to embrace definitely his great passion for fine wines.
Thus, in 1998 he quitted his job and moved to Montalcino where he worked as wine consultant and founded Scuola della Vite e del Vino - a small company which organizes training classes for wine producers, cellar masters and vineyard workers.
In the same period he was involved as promoter for different wine merchants and wine estates in Italy.
Since 2001 he helps importers to select fine wines from small family conducted estates across Italy. He considers Aglianico the best Italian red grape together with Nebbiolo and this explain his main focus on Southern Italy estates.
Since 2003 he is based in Lucca.
